The three Prizewinners in the LAND FORCES 2018 Innovation Pitchfest in Adelaide last week received their trophies from Australian Minister for Defence, the Hon. Christopher Pyne MP on Wednesday, 5 September. From a field of 30 ‘Pitchers’ from industry, academia and DST Group, they were named winners by a five-strong panel of Judges lead by the Chair of the Defence Science Institute (DSI) Advisory Board, John O’Callaghan.

The Innovation Pitchfest was organised by the DSI in partnership with DST Group, the Defence Innovation Partnership (DIP) and the Defence Innovation Network (DIN). It took place over two consecutive days at LAND FORCES 2018 – Tuesday 4 and Wednesday 5 September.
The Defence Science Institute selected 30 ‘pitchers’ who each delivered a 3-minute pitch at the LAND FORCES 2018 Innovation Pitchfest. The Pitches were judged by an expert panel:
The Innovation Pitchfest is a feature of all major events organised by Industry Defence and Security Australia Limited. It is an opportunity to showcase an innovative Australian idea/technology application/product in in early stage of its development (pre-commercialisation) to an audience including Primes, OEMs, Defence customers/users, research professionals, venture financiers and critical/interested peers.
This event is designed to help demonstrate innovation, research collaboration and development strengths.
