The Land Forces International Land Defence Exposition (Land Forces) has announced the 2026 edition of Australia’s largest land defence trade event will be held in Perth, Western Australia, from 6-8 October 2026.

Held in major cities across the country biennially, including Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne, Land Forces organiser AMDA Foundation will present the trade exposition in Perth for the first time.

CEO AMDA Foundation, Justin Giddings, said the event’s debut in Perth underscores its commitment to showcasing Australian industrial capability in the national interest.

“Land Forces has been built to support the needs of the Australian Defence Force, and specifically those of the Australian Army, bringing together the key players from defence, government and industry as a platform for engagement,” he said.

“We look forward to presenting this important event in Perth in 2026.”

Deputy Chief of Army, Major General Chris Smith, highlighted the Australian Army’s support.

“The Australian Army looks forward to supporting Land Forces 2026 in Perth, and showcasing Defence in the West," Major General Chris Smith said.

"Land Forces is an opportunity for the Australian Army to reinforce commitment to collaborating with industry, academia, and international partners.”

Western Australian Defence Industries Minister, Paul Papalia noted the opportunities Land Forces brings to Western Australia.

“Land Forces is a huge opportunity for Western Australian businesses to showcase their world-class expertise, connect with global defence leaders and break into international supply chains," Minister Papalia said.

“It’s about creating new jobs, attracting investment and showing that WA’s defence industries can strengthen the Nation’s sovereign capability.”

Land Forces champions Australian industrial capability across defence, emergency response, training and national security, critical areas that strengthen sovereign capacity and enable global partnerships.

Presented in collaboration with major stakeholder, the Australian Army, Land Forces advances Australia’s national interest through focused dialogue and support for a capable, resilient and integrated land defence sector.
